Size Measurements Required for Tailoring
For accurate tailoring, the following body measurements are typically taken:
Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape level.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist.
Hip: Measure around the fullest part of the hips.
Shoulder Width: Measure across the back from shoulder tip to tip.
Sleeve Length: From shoulder point to desired sleeve end.
Neck to Waist: Measure from the base of the neck to the waistline.
Dress Length: From shoulder or waist to desired hemline.
Armhole: Circumference around the shoulder joint.
Thigh Circumference: For pants or skirts.
Rise (for pants): Front and back to waistline.
